The G Spot: What is it?!
Described as an erogenous zone in the vagina, that when stimulated may lead to a powerful and pleasurable orgasm. Currently, there isn’t any specific area identified , but generally we think of a place around the front of the vaginal wall, about 3-5 cm deep.
After reading books, blogs, opinions, and talking to people with vaginas I formed an opinion about this elusive “spot”: There is no “spot”, rather an area inside the vagina that might feel good when stimulated – and there are stipulations even for that statement.
What kind of stimulation? How? With what?
Besides, from what I know from research, reports, etc. – every vagina is different, and some people really dislike that kind of stimulation.
From what I found in literature and talking with people, most vagina owners do not orgasm from vaginal stimulation alone, unless the clitoris is stimulated (from either outside or inside the vagina). Yes, stimulating erogenous areas in the vagina during intercourse could expand and vary an orgasm experience.
Bottom line – if you are curious, and want to explore, go ahead. Explore the inside of the vagina with fingers, toys, rubbing, circling, touching. You can explore by yourself, or with a partner. Find out what and where feels good, and what does not, and communicate that to your partner.
Most importantly, do not fixate on finding the G-spot as the “ultimate” way to orgasm. Instead, revel in exploring pleasurable touches, and always communicate your wants and your don’ts. Have questions? Please email me at aya@empoweryourselfpt.com.
